• Easy Brews Beer Festival came to life after meeting with the National Hemophilia Foundation: Colorado Chapter and learning that they were looking for new and exciting ways to raise awareness and funds for their organization. The CO Chapter typically relied on galas and 5k runs for donations, but wanted to branch out in order to attract new demographics.

After a few meetings and talking through various event options, we all agreed that a community beer festival was the perfect event to meet all of their goals. Colorado is known for it's breweries, after all. My team and I were responsible for overseeing all aspects of the event management.

    My Focus Areas and Contributions:

    • Event Concept

    • Event Marketing Strategy

    • Social Media Management

    • Ticketing

    • Securing The Venue

    • Licensing & Permits

    • Brewery & Food Vendors

    • On-Site Event Logistics

  • Projects

    Event Design, Concept, and Execution

    Event Concept to Final Recap

Many event ideas were discussed, but the team ultimately agreed that a beer festival was the best way to engage with the local/regional community while raising awareness and providing a new experience for existing chapter members and supporters.

The event sold over 200 tickets and included two dozen breweries, a distillery, multiple food trucks and a Bob-Marley Tribute Band.

    Venue Management

    Arapahoe County Fairgrounds

One of the largest hurdles for this event was finding a venue that was within budget, was outdoor, and able to have alcohol on premise. We scouted a number of venues and ended up hosting the festival at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.

I worked directly with their Venue Management Team to secure the venue, work through all required licenses and permits, as well as design the layout and logistics of the fest.

    Food and Beverage Vendors

Colorado-based Breweries & Local Denver Food Trucks

We knew we wanted to focus on Colorado-specific breweries. Over the course of three months, we engaged with over 100 breweries and confirmed nearly two-dozen for the event. Beer was donated as part of the event ticket and then served by each brewery.

We brought in three food trucks and a few local food brands to provide refreshments to festival-goers. I oversaw each brewery vendor, the donation forms and process, as well as event load-in and load-out.

    Sponsor and Partner Packages

    Sponsor Management

In order to elevate the festival experience, we sought out sponsors to cover different costs. We broke out our sponsor packages into different levels to allow small and large businesses to participate.

    On-site Event Lead

    Small Team with Big Goals.

As one of three people running an entire event, you end up wearing all the hats. At Easy Brews I was on the on-site event lead for all attending breweries, general vendor load-in, volunteers, ticketing.

I also successfully managed any and all issues and hiccups that occurred during the festival.
